Warning....plasma burn......

I got to play with a buddies plasma cutter yesterday...it was cool...i was cutting some extended shock mounts, and got a sunburn on my face...just a warning...plasma cutters will give you a burn...but it was cool...

Thats nothing. Whats a worse burn than plasma is the flash from welding even when you don't look directly at it but can catch the flash out of the corner of your eyes, its still gonna hurt like a major mofo at night when you try to sleep. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

ditto, I got it so bad once I could not drive, eyes werre murdered, I had to let someone drive my truck /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

yeah I've done that before, but I learned, haven't had it happen in a long time cause I got some sense and used a mask a lot more than I used to. I can remember my dad when I was little with gauze on both eyes, more than once mind you, cause of welding.

Hmm i accidentally started arcs with the visor up a few times in one day while looking directly at it... it sucked but its not like I couldnt drive afterwards or anyhting... you guys are just panzies. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

It's a lesson you learn over and over again. Just a couple of weeks ago, when I was welding up my table, it was a warm day and I removed my long sleeve shirt. Forgot to put it back on with the machine welding wide open. From my t-shirt sleeves on down to my hands looked like a lobster. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif Now I’ll remember for the next year or so, before I get careless again…
