when ever i brake abruptly from over 45 mph i get a terrible shake in my blazer i was told that it was warped rotors i had a brake job about a year ago but the people who did it are kind of cheap so i would be surprised if they were crappy parts how should i take care of this problem?

Pull one off and see if it is warped. If so replace with new. In my experiance warped rotors cause shaking at all braking speeds so it sounds fishy.

If your rotors are warped, you can get them turned if they have enough material left on them to do it.

Unfortunatly even new rotors can be warped from the factory. I dont know what the haties there using for metal these days but Ive seen more new cars come up with problems, particulary Chrysler, jeep and Ford. Do a little hard running and there gonners. Anymore even a new set get at least checked with adial indicator on a lathe if not just cut a tad to be sure. Your should be easily able to turn yours unless their grooved beyond use.

I bought Wagner rotors and pads at Oreillys two years ago. The pads were wore to the squelers so I took the rotors in to be turned. They were wore wy past minimum. The counter manager told me that Wagner "lightened them to increase gas mileage and you can rarey turn them. I guess OEM is the only place to get quality

It seems almost every time i go to turn rotors, they are to close to the min! Do you really use that much material over the course of a set of pads? Or are they that close when new?

While you are correct, I would recomend replacing any warped rotor. If you cut a warped rotor, you are removing even more material from it. Less material means it can't absorb as much heat. It has already proven it can't disipate the heat it absorbs fast enuff by warping in the first place. By removing material from it, it will be able to absorb even less.
