I got two hoods with my k5 and one of them have holes for a hood emblem. I'm pretty sure some of the trucks came with one but did any of the k5's?:dunno:

The 69's did. Had the bowtie on the hood instead of in the grille.

I know the one your talking about but this is alittle different. the holes are on top of the lip. This will give ya a better idea. I probably wont use this hood because my other one is in better shape.

Check the slosh archives you n00bs! :)

Dremu has an amazing archive of factory brochures here:

69-70 K5s have a blue bowtie mounted to the front face of the hood.... For 71-72 it was dropped into the grille area.

still didn't help me. But really awesome link! I'm sure you guys are right and some dork just put some holes in it. But i could use this hood for my butterfly scoop. Just because i can! This is just one of those things i have always wanted since i was a kid. So i bought it one day off ebay.
