and it JUST dawned on me.....

are the PEDALS reversed on righthand drive cars? :dunno: :haha:

well, I wouldn't classify that as true righthand drive, more like specialized for the post office..

I'm talking all the sh*t they drive recently in Euro, Ferrari's, etc.... could of swore I heard Jeremy talking about leftfoot gas pedal, yada....

I could manage the shifter, but leftfoot gas, right clutch? I'd be all F*CKED up!!!! :haha::haha::haha:

tha's what I figured.. just heard a blip from him that implied otherwise.. he was probably fockin with James May or somefin... disregard... :haha:

We had a Austin diesel taxicab at the junkyard that ran and drove, that was a RHD London taxi at one time...the pedals were "normal", just the steering wheel was on the right ride--the directional lever was still on the left side of the steering colum too..it took some getting used too, driving from the "gutter" side!..

yeah there strange too drive. shifting gears with your left hand feels funny. i drove one last week for the first time. a young customer has a 1994 toyota celica 4wd. he,s gone for 2 months left it to install a clutch.

And you shift towards you instead of away from you so the gear pattern stays the same also. Given the pedals and shifting I dont think it would be that hard to pick up. I'll let you know in a few years when I drive an aussie spec 70 series landcruiser camper all over new zealand when we go :waytogo:

I spent a year in Japan and drove an 80s RX-7, right hand drive, pedals are like here, but it was odd shifting with left hand. I had more trouble driving when I came back to the states, kept wanting to go into the left lanes, lol

Yep, pedals the same and shift pattern the same, only shifting inward instead of outward. Only thing I remember being swapped on most cars was the wiper stalk and blinker stalk. That's how we knew brand new drivers on Oki! Perfectly sunny day and someone sitting at an intersection with their wipers on full blast cause they hit the wrong one.:doah::haha:

LOL I have been over here for almost 5 months now and I still turn the wipers on to turn :haha::haha:

I just don't drive often enough!

You would think that could make packaging everything more difficult, with the brake booster & master cylinder now closer to the engine

Reminds me of shifting an old BSA w the shifter on the right foot and brake on the left
