Its been raining a lot here and today some water fell down on my feet from up in the dash. I know I've heard this discussed here before, but where does it come from? My windshield has a small leak in it, but I sealed it up as little yesterday with some clear RTV. should i go to a professonal glass place and have them remove, reglue and replace the windshield?

You need to verify where the water is coming from. It could be coming from the windshield seal, or from a hole under the windshild wiper metal, or from the fire wall. Best thing to do is get it dry and test it out with a water hose. If it is the seal have a professional replace the seal, it should be a bout $100-$125 for the seal and labor. You can buy the seal and new chrome strip from LMC for about $60.
I appologize for not using the proper termanology for the area under the windshield wipers, but this area is prone to rust and get small holes in it.

I fixed it for $0. i took the windshield out and the seal out. There was a lot of dirt behind it, so i cleaned it out and used some paint thinner to egt rid of the grime. I put new glue in and put the windshield back in. No leaks!!!! actually its not raining anymore so I don't really know that...

If you could only manage to get Scotch and Ice from the dash you would be all set! LOL!
