What makes it work? Ive always kind of wondered. It started coming on so I changed the filter and its runnin better now. But I was just wondering where or if there is a sensor for it...how does it work?

Wires on the filter housing are the part. It measures the resistance across the probe or to ground to turn on the light. slightly more accurate than a fart in a wind storm

Thing is my 82 6.2 does not have wire going to the filter housing. So where else would this sensor be?
