Had trouble getting the old distributor to work so i replaced it after doing intake gaskets
topped off fluids changed oil and it ran strong but i took plugs out to read em and number 1 has water
around the electrode. Unless the intake gaskets i just put in didnt seal i have a head gasket that failed.

Is there a way to test it to see? i have a compression leak down tester coming. also hear of test strips?
what are they and where o you get em?

this is dizzy i got 59130 is part number
it came fully assembled cap, coil, rotor, springs

I've seen service stations use the old emissions tester tailpipe probe to detect head gasket leaks--holding the probe over the radiator filler with the cap off and engine running (from a cold start) will pick up the hydrocarbons from the coolant if the head gasket is leaking into the coolant passages..

It might be some coolant ran down into the intake valve when you pulled the intake off and it just needs to burn off ?..usually you'll see white smoke and smell antifreeze if a head gasket has even a small leak..
