Water/Meth injection

Is it worth it to add it.

Stock motor its not a GM but should not matter.
It depends...

Are you having power shortfalls and/or hitting EGT limits while towing or are you losing races at the local dragstrip?

Is the engine intercooled already?

What are the details of the fuel injection system?

I'm running it in a 08 duramax, helps to lower EGTs when towing but I didn't see any fuel mileage gains.

No issues at all

Motor is a 7.3 stock, in a F350 so not inter cooled has no adds yet.

Was talking to a guy who did injectors on his, $1500. Ran into issues with his EGT's getting to high. He ended up putting a water/meth injection. Said he should have just put that on instead of the injectors and been done.

wanted to know what you all thought about it.

We have some rather steep long hills out here that I have to pull over so wanted to make sure I don't cook it.

Do you have pyro gauges? I took a 4,000 mile trip out west last summer in July-August and never got above 1350 degrees but it doesn't spray constant it starts at 20 psi.

Water meth is only really needed if you don't have enough turbo and or tow at altitude. If you add fuel you need to add air to cool it. Usually fuel injector upgrades of any significance need a bigger turbo also. An efficient intercooler helps a bunch too.
