i got a new dd/towrig, so the blazer is turning to trail only, im stripping out the interior and want it all waterproof so i can run topless with the door off and not worry about mud/ water. does anyone know of any good fully waterproof seat covers, not just water resistant, something thats not just a plastic raincoat type material

Neoprene will be your best bet. Unfortunately, they are very spendy IMO. You might consider picking up something that you like, invert and then line them with some kind of plastic. Or possibly a tent coating designed for water proofing. Stuff just costs too dang much otherwise.

^^^^
What he said about neoprene.

Or, you could rhinoline your seats...:haha:
yea im sure that would be comfortable:haha:
altho if it works as well as it did on my floors i dont have much cofidence, that stuffs not very tough:doah:

i think those wet okole seat covers are really good.ive heard they are n e way.no personnal experience with them though.i was going to put those on when i finish up my resto on the blazer

Nothing is gonna be water proof. Water can get to your seat from underneath even. I run some GT seat covers and I love them.

I would think they could make a cover for the bottom of the seat somehow. If not I would make something myself. I hate the thought of my Mastercraft and Corbeau seats getting all dirty and wet, and possibly mildewy and stinky. Im going to get covers for when Im in mud and just coat the seats with water repelent spray for the rest of the time. I have thought about the wetokle covers too but I dig the look of my Mastercrafts dont want to really cover them up. I have not really looked at them or even seen them in person yet, but I've herd of them for years and years.

They are awesome, exspensive but awesome. I have a set in my towrig. they are comfortable and clean up very easy. I bought them when I bought the truck a few years ago. The seats are perfect underneath but the covers have got a few stains so they have served their purpose well.

To cover all of my trucks seating (2005 2500HD ext cab) it cost us around $400-$500. They have a great lifetime warranty to though. I think it was worth the money.

Marathon Seat Covers

Has anyone tried Marathon Seat Covers (Bozeman, Mt.) ? Their web site is: www.marathonseatcovers.com . They just sent me some Cordura fabric samples. They're asking $175 for the pair of front buckets for my '87 K5 and $175 for the rear bench. I'm having to look in this direction because I can't seem to find anyone locally who even seems interested in recovering my seats. My only concern is that these covers may look like a couple of sacks pulled over the seats given the way our buckets are contoured etc. I think they said for $10 extra they will 2-tone the covers to sort of match my new paint scheme (Navy & Smoke are the closest colors I could match up).

If anyone has a photo of these installed I'd greatly appreciate seeing what the finished and installed product looks like.

not to be harsh, but you will hate them. Do you own anything made out of Cordura? I have several products including gun slings, canvas covering for tree stands....its tough as nails but very incomfortable. Look into coverking neoprene, or the spendy wet okole. I would recommend coverking for the price and quality. Wet okole inserts that are colored have faded in the past, and they charge to replace the insert.

Looking over the fabric samples, that's another thing I was wondering about. I was thinking they might be stiff and rough ...... but it is a hunting vehicle and not a DD.

yeah but even as a hunting vehicle, unless you have lots of dogs actually on the seats with claws, then the roughness is not worth it. What I do is get those cheap plastic bucket seat covers from Advanced to put over my neoprene covers to keep the muddy river clay off the seats. My dog tends to like to ride like a human sometimes. Then just toss the plastic covers when you get home. They were like a buck or so a piece.
