Hey guys,

My water pump blew out on the highway on the way to Seattle. AAA is on the way but I'm looking for a shop that's open this afternoon. Don't have any tools with me :doah:. Any advice?

Thanks!

And it's on the Blazer right? Might see if AAA can tow you to a Walmart or auto parts store and just buy the tools to fix it. Probably only need about $20 worth of tools as opposed to hundreds at a repair shop.

More importantly then the money is I bet you could fix it faster than a shop could for you. Do you need help finding a parts store near by? Looks like there is a Napa, oriely, and car quest right there.

Tow driver has a shop he'll let me use. Got it sorted, thanks for checking in man!

Just want to give a huge shout out to Junior from McIntosh towing in Ellensburg for hooking us up today. Three hours later and we're back in business!

Probably a good reminder to put together a tool kit in each rig for longer trips. Having tools with me when problems creep up has saved my bacon more times than I can count.

Definitely a good idea. I like to carry one of those cheap little socket sets and a couple wrenches in the console, along with some spare fuses.
