yes, I have removed the four bolts that mount the fan to the clutch and the four bolts that mount the pulley to the pump.

what your describing is a Ford,Jeep,some Chrysler style water pump, i didn't know they changed them over to that, you should have loosed it up while it was still on the engine and the belts were still on it.
It's a PITA otherwise
