What do you have/had brand wise that's been good longevity wise? I have a pump that's just starting to leak at the seal and I'm wondering if it's worth the extra money on a name brand pump.
It's going on a 86 sightly warmed up 350. Used only for offroad. For the most part at low rpms.

I have used Stewart pumps on several builds and have been very pleased with both performance and quality

I couldn't tell you the brand but I used an O'Reilly's pump on my Blazer. Fortunately, I shop so seldom for water pumps don't have a brand preference, I just look for a new pump rather than rebuilt or reman.

I bought one of these as I thought they had mis-priced them at $65, but looks like they are still that price. Hard to beat the price and supposed performance out of a pump at that price. https://ck5.com/forums/threads/cheap-high-performance-water-pump.326717/

Necessary? Maybe not, but as far as I'm concerned, outside of budget constraints, more pump is always better. I know there are different viewpoints on that topic, that is mine. However, it's hard to argue that at low RPM's, a pump that moves more water at the same RPM is generally going to be a benefit to keeping the engine cool, and help with AC if also used.
