So I have the 6.2L and 4 speed auto trans. I want to make this all water tight as possable due to me driving into mud and "small" 4' deep water holes. I know to extend my axle breathers to the interior of the truck and get good snorkle, but what can I do to keep all that water from splashing around in the engine bay, and up over the intake. I have a 3" body lift and 35" tires currently, so any advice would be helpful. O ya the truck is a DD and will stay this way for a while.

If you still have the stock air cleaner and the cold air intake in the front and the ducting stll all there, just put tape on the connections and make sure they will not come appart, I would also put a rubber washer on all nuts on the intake cover.
You will not make it water tight for submerging the engine but splashing will not enter the engine.
Also the 4 speed has a breather on top, it's just a nipple with a cap, you will need to put a hose on it and extend it too, it's lower than 4' and it will be sucking water if you go in 4' waters.

I don't understand "get good snorkle." If you have a snorkel or are saying you will get one it's whole purpose is so you don't have to worry about water splashing about the engine bay.

Really a good snorkel is just me referring to a snorkel that is water tight for yes the splashing is all. Its usually not very high on any of my trucks, but just something for the in case scenario. Thanks for the other advice thoe!!
