I am wiring in my fuse block under my hood (2003 5.3 Vortec to '86 K5), and I'd like to know what your suggestions would be to make a semi-waterproof housing to keep water from splashing into the new fuse block (fender mounted). Any ideas? I don't expect to make it water tight, but some protection would be ideal (especially in keeping out the dust).

Also... I've already bought my fuse block and relays, so I don't want to buy new ones (no kits please). I just need a housing idea to keep protect the connections.

This is kinda what I'm looking to install...

Have you looked at any of the waterproof boxes made by Pelican? You can get a copy of one in the Sporting Goods section of Walmart pretty cheap. I use them for canoeing, boating, etc.

I would think you could drill it out for the wiring and use hardening silicone to seal the holes.

You could retrofit an old army medical tin...
They're weather-proof.

That's what this was, till I modified it to be a breaker panel...
