is any one running 131'' long bed wheel base on the trails?? I just took my bed of getting ready for the truggy afect.I'm going to run 44s.I'm used to my k-5s WB.should i shorten it??
i run a long bed on the trails, just don't try to under turn a blazer or shortbed. i love the long wheelbase, i feel it has an advantage on short steep obstackles over shorter trucks.
Bob runs 130+ inches of wheelbase. As stated above, on some obstacles (especially cliff-like vertical step stuff or nasty descents) it is really really cool. Other times, when ya need to turn through some tight stuff, its a bad thing. There is no perfect wheelbase for all obstacles... but IMO something between 105 and 115 is the best all around compromise.
I used to run a 'burb (same wheelbase) and liked the stability it offered. It flexed well having so much room between the axles. My only problem was weight.
