I got to take a 1.5 hour brake today to go in and get my left hand stitched up. I think its bad when there is meaty/fatty stuff hanging out of the whole!!:haha:

So, wear your gloves. If I had stopped for 30 seconds and put my gloves on it would have saved a trip to the ER. They stitched me up and told me to go home and take it easy, yeah, right.

I think Tracy has some nice pictures, I'll have to post up.:o

Yeah gloves saved the piece of skin between my thumb and index finger when I was trying to remove my hood and the hood hinge spring broke loose and pinched my hand. Without the gloves I would have lost a good amount of flesh.

Where's the "this thread is worthless without pics!" smilie?

I aim's to please...

Every time I work without my gloves I receive a new scar... So with that mind thought I always put my gloves on. Im tired of being burned, cut, pinched or whatever. Same goes with eye protection. That stuff sucks man. Hope you heal up well and soon. Im gonna be ordering more stuff from you shorty and I need you in tip top shape to make my parts! :haha: All kidding aside, I wanna see the pics! lol

Where my glove? In floor by the shifter!

If I am working I WARE mine! jk hope you didn't f it up too bad.

I was usin a wire wheel on a grinder the other week, it caught on a corner jumped towards my left hand, ate my glove to shreds but only a small scratch on the pad type deal between your thumb and wrist. If nothin else the glove helps out with a slow reaction time.

OK, here's the story,

I had to cut a couple pieces of tubing on the lathe for that nice uber straight cut. Took my gloves off as safety would demand.

Cut one, Chucked up the second and the jaws didn't like the bur on the end.

Jump over to the welding bench to nip off the bur and the sanding disc caught the edge of the tube and recoiled into my off hand, of course the disc had chunks taken out of it so it's like really big teeth whippin around. It went pretty deep actually. Hand was pretty blood soaked by the time I got to looking at it. Didn't really hurt much at first.

I agree, a welding glove is not a grinder stop, it sure is nice how they slow it down though.:haha:

Tracy is resizing pics now.

yeah I got some good scars from not wearing gloves. dug a 1/4 groove in top of my thumb once when the grinder slipped. at least it didn't bleed! theres just something about a dull ache though.
