It looks like thunderstorms are predicted for the next week to 10 days. Can anyone closer confirm or deny that? What is looking like around the 10th?

Here's my $.02 for weather reports in the rocky mtn region. Look out the window.

Less than 50% accuracy on anything more than 5 days out. Having said that, when they say we have a 20% chance of rain, what it really means is we will have rain 20% of the afternoon

I have a friend in Moab right now. Says it rains every afternoon some place around Moab. Sometimes it's on them sometimes not.

Very widespread and actually pretty hot in general. Sounds very typical for this time of year. The "don't go there" season for Moab is Memorial day to Labor day cause it's so hot there.
With BB being so close to labor day it will be warm still. Heat this time of year builds afternoon thunderstorms. I doubt we will have widespread rain though.

I've been working outside all summer on my truck to get it ready for this run in 100-115 degree heat. I'm looking forward to the relatively cool 90 degree days there, it's hotter than that here when I walk outside some mornings.

Warmest we got this year was 82F.... Normally we have at least 7 or 8 days of 90F a summer. Gonna be nice to finally get some warm weather in and get one last go at the farmer's tan before winter sets in.

Up here the leaves are rapidly turning colour and it is only around 45 - 50F in the mornings anymore. Another 6 or 7 weeks and we'll have snow on the ground for the rest of the winter.

I like snow, I go visit it occasionally during the winters here in Arizona
