Looking to replace the weather stripping on my '78 blazer. I'd like to do the door itself and doors frame on the body area.

I hear precision is the best, true or? It's a bit pricey but is it worth it?

the price of the Precision weather strip in you first post ea item

For what I want just the doors, precision is about $192 + $25 shipping geez bro..... I'll do the windows later. I just want the door jamb and the stripping on top of the door

Had a bad deal with Steele. We a group of Ford Van guys provide Steele with 3 sets of the best windwing vent rubbers we salvage, and 1 nos sets, plus $1500 to make us a mold.
He made the mold and 3 sets of seals. Kept the nos set which were very expensive for us to aquire. Never provided the molds as promised.
The three sets he did make shrank and split with in a year.
I will not do business with Steele

Yikes! That is a bummer. Maybe the NOS set was destroyed in the molding process.

Steele Rubber Products has a large selection for the K5 Blazer.

Well basicly we fronted the money for him to develop and make $$$$ and only got 3 sets of inferior seals. He didn't honor the deal made with us. At the time was based in so cal. He offers the seals we paid for and didn't get. THEY CAN BITE ME

They have been in business since 1958. Was the deal in a written contract? If the terms of the contact are violated perhaps small claims court.

I don't see the seal that goes on the top of the doors am I missing it? I added the one that goes around the door jambs pinch weld but I fail to see the door ones

Yes there was a contract, and it was discussed, but was never pursued other than multiple attempts by members to get him to honor the deal. That club is defunct now. So no more legal recourse.
Even if the owner wasn't a cheat, I feel Seele quality of materials, and fit is subpar.

If you just want a door seal GM still sells the weatherstrip. Rather reasonable price for a GM part IMHO.

I totally understand guys getting sticker shock about weatherstripping. After doing a crew cab, couple burbs and a k5 I would say its worth it. Good seals make the truck feel nice.

I usually get Precision from GMC Pauls. I have also bought some Precision seals from an auction and tried LMC years back. The LMC were not as good back then.

I'm going to just get precision, they have what I want. I really didn't expect to it to be so expensive but... mine are completely shot so... it's a needed upgrade.

Jeez that gmc pauls website is a mess of 1999 dial up. I'll try but that site is as dated as can be. Is the site even secure to purchase from?
