Who has replaced there front 2 weather strip seals on there 87 or about same year hard top? I have a question on the groove in the front on the hard top and need a answer please!

What do you want to know? If I recall there was a thread recently with pictures that detailed how the seals are assembled. I did mine recently and it was pretty straight forward, although the hardtop seal is a little bit of a pain because the whole thing has to be glued in.

This is the very front of the top and you see a valley with like putty or some adhesive in that valley but some spots it is clean as a whistle. Should it be perfectly clean or does it need to be filled in?

In the pictures you can see a valley toward front and it seems to have a seam sealer or some in parts of the valley and other parts of it is clean. So should there be this seam sealer what not or should it be perfectly clean to install front seal?
Do you have any pictures of this seal install ?

I used 3m weather atripping adhesive. Seals and glues simultaneously. Works like a charm.

but what about this valley????

I cant see the pic you attached, but I assume your speaking about the valley between the seal that adhears to the topper (sits up high)and the seal that sits on the cap (sits below.) I didn't use any sealer in that area because I assumes it was the the flow of water that made its way past the first seal. I only used sealer to assist in the holding of the new gaskets.

Blue that means you should become a paying member to see the pictures we all post on this site!
Well worth the $ it cost!

I didn't mess with the valley, just scraped out the old adhesive and glued in the new seal. Didn't run into any issues, although the aftermarket seal wasn't a perfect fit. Then again, none of them are really. I haven't had any leaks, despite the heavy recent rains.
