It's now time to start thinking about winter here in the great northwest.. 9 months of rain

My door seals are shot, and so are the front windows.. but I've found those(I think), though knowing the best place to get them would be nice..

My concern is sealing the top, havn't had it on during the rain before. The other issue is I don't have a back window for now... so I need a temp fix for that(already have a chunk of lexan, just need to make it so it doesn't leak..)..

Any ideas or suggestions for doing this?

So Friday I decieded to take a little trip to my local Chevy dealer. I thought I would see what seals were still available for the cab and topper on my Blazer. Here is a report on my little field trip. The numbers and first price is OEM the last price is LMC Truck. I ordered mine and most will be here Monday the rest will be here Wednesday. Also got better pics of the tail gate and door parts.

SO YES GM STILL MAKES AND YOU CAN ORDER!

I decided to use GM because of these three things.
1. Fit

2. Fit

3. Fit

They may be more but they were made by its maker!

That's how I'll go then :o I ordered the catalog from LMC.

Fortunately I've got access to a covered storage area for now, can't afford to sink all in to the new seals.

My only other question was the rear window..

I'm thinking of replacing the plexiglass I have now because it is damaged(piece broke out of the top) and scratched all to hell to boot so its hard to see out of. Anyone know where I can have a new piece cut? Seems the material is cheap but I don't want to mess up cutting it..

I'm thinking of just swapping to a truck tailgate so I can open it from the outside and keeping the window mounted full time in the top..

I have read here that people have had problems with some of the after market seals. Also they have had the windows roll up harder to the point one guy thought he might break the crank.

They may cost more but I KNOW they will work perfectly!

I was about to order a set of these from LMC this Friday, I think I'm going to reconsider that. Unfortunately the GM's are going to cost me $50 more (don't need the inner's). They better be higher quality than what I would have gotten from LMC!
I'm replacing the outer seal for the tailgate window too, that will probably add to my damage total above.

Where are you getting the seals from? Make sure to check out gmpartsdirect.com if you haven't.

I'll 2nd the GM seals. I'd almost rather have no seals than the junk that LMC sent me. I guess junk is better than nothing, but barely. No reason they can't exactly copy GM, but three of the seals I got from LMC were made incorrectly. Unfortunately, one of them GM no longer sells.

I can say first hand, the LMC seals will NOT hold up as long as the original GM stuff. Seals on my truck now are probably up to 26 years old and still work. Some of the LMC stuff started falling apart shortly after install.

GM it is..

Question..

Which seals would you start replacing first? I have no drivers side door seal and I know the windows need it... top seems like it might be okay. I'll do it as I can.. like I said, it's in a barn except when I drive it

I was just looking at the prices in Metrodps's post. But the prices at gmpartsdirect are much better. I always forget about that website because I never buy anything there, that's about to change.
I'm surprised to learn about the LMC seals being that bad, oh well. It's a good thing I decided to peruse here before I plunked the money down!
