I have an '85 Blazer and I took the top off. Where is a good place to get new weatherstripping for it ? I looked around at classic industries but I am not quite sure what I need. Thanks,

Nick

LMC has all of the parts you need. Do a google search for them and request a catalog /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Do you need to replace all of it?? Just because you took the top off doesn't really mean you have to replace the seals....that is just an Urban legend. I take mine off several times a year and mine never leaks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I just put mine back on, ran water on it for some time...no leaks. It actually rained the other day...no leaks. When I put mine back on I put a thin coating of Vaseline on the entire gasket (I remember someone on here saying to do that)...don't know if it helped, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

yeah, for topper seals for my 85 I go to LMC, they have good stuff. For door seals, JC whitney has ones that are really nice and they're cheap too. I was surprised at the quality of these things, for the price I figured they would be junk that would only last a few years. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Bought my stuff from LMC as well, but engine swap has priority over actually replacing the seals.

Stay away from the LMC toppr to glass seal (back u-channel) wasn't designed right, and I suggest buying it from someone else. Not available from GM anymore. Make sure that wherever you buy stuff from, they have a good return policy.

I'll second that! Those ones SUCK! Also, for those of us who need the seal across the top for the full toppers, the LMC seal SUCKS ASS!! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif It's too long and too tall!! I had to cut a chunk out of the middle of mine, glue it down at the ends, and stretch it back together to get it to seal correctly! /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif Try doing that AND gluing it down effectively! I had to screw it down in the middle to hold it, then when it dried, I took the screws out and put a thin layer of silicone over the holes. If you don't "customize" it a bit it holds the top up just enough to not seal up at the corners and you get wetter 'n hell when it rains! Stinkin' POS! /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Next time you need full convertible rubber you might want to try Cheyenne pickup parts (405)872-3399 or Golden State Pickup Parts. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'll give them a try. I need the gaskets for the back side windows now along with a new one for the rear window.

Try your local Chevy dealer. Its expensive but you can't beat the way it fits.

Your dealer is ripping you off. I bought one at the dealer and when you figure the shipping LMC is going to get you it was about the same price and I had it the next buisness day.
