Not a real big deal unless you want to save the "lock" shift rod. If not, just pull the bolts, wedge it apart, and cut the rod with a recip saw.

easy, PM me and i will explain it to you better:
rmeove yokes, remove case bolts, push the roll pin out of the shft fork shaft so range box will come off chain case
thats about it,
lot sof needle bearings will come out when ytou pull parts off back of chain case for rear output, unlewss you clamp them, but oh well, you just are after range case righT? or rebuilding the thing ?
