Many folks around here hit the deer woods this weekend, but I spent some time on the Burb. Last weekend I welded in the steering box frame brace.

This weekend:

1. reinstalled steering box (by myself, PITA)
2. Upgraded to Jeep steering shaft (drives great!)
3. trimmed and installed new fender in place of the old bashed one
4. Tweaked bashed door to work with new fender.

That's pretty good for me. Normally I'd only get one of those done.

How'd your weekend go?

Way to rub it in :)

I'm stuck with no weight on my right foot after surgery so for now I can only order parts. I did pick up a hp60 yesterday though so no wrenching but big buying.

since I had Friday off like you, I did alot of the same

Welded frame steering, box area
installed 2WD Box
cut leaf spring mounts off and moved for 52's
Installed new lift springs, Front

found out what Im racing next season

Worked on a broke down Caddy

Took sunday off

A productive weekend in my book

spent a little time on my bumper today. Couple other odds/ends projects.

washed and parked the Crew for the winter, ate a lot of food, watched football, watched drag racing, and worked (well put in my time).

I was extremely productive this weekend, measured my radiator so I can build a fan shroud and found a new yoke for my front driveshaft:D

Figured out some under dash wiring issues. Then got a lot of the little things done like putting the mirrors back on, taillights back in, bed bolted down, tie rod end, and the best thing was an inspection sticker. It is legally back on the road after 8 years of sitting. Then an oil change, and a greasing.
Took Sunday off and watched my brother and a friend play on a rock pile.

What, :dunno:

your district must have traded that day from another day somewhere.
We had it off last year when it was on a Thursday...hmmm, OK, whatever but im down with whatever they do

Worked Saturday

Sunday: put some wood across the frame rails to hold up my trans, that way I could reclaim my floor jack for other projects. Took some pictures of my fuel system. Watched football.

thats it, my couch was really comfortable today

I finally got my front bumper completely done. Main bumper is from Kert and I added the grill guard and side tubes. There is also a 5/16" 3"X3" piece of steel knotched out and welded under the roller fair lead to protect it. You can see it in the first pic from a couple weeks ago.

pulled the 4.3 from my newly aquired 94 gmc jimmy. tore it apart. trimmed fenders on my 78 PU. found 56" springs to replace my 48"lift ones in front. got a quote on installing front hoop shock mounts and rear inboarding shock mounts and getting that done next weekend. drank alot of beer. getting alignment tomorrow.

front 4.10 axle bolted in and ready to start bolting brakes and such on. If i had an indoor shop and didnt have work today would have probably been done.

Yanked my very tired 10 bolt out of my Sub and installed new (totally rebuild and painted) d44, took time to replace front spring bushings (of course I found the new set after the d44 was already bolted in - so had really fun lining up those holes), had the front aligned.......soooo, even with the raised steering arm and new steering shock, it has worse bump steer than before:dunno:

Chased some vacuum leak, EGR seems to work fine, so back to square 1....

Prepped spare lift kit for sale, searched for some decent engine builder and tranny shop close by....

Watched some football - GO BEARS!!!!!:woot:
Cooked some awesome food :woot:
Discovered pretty awesome brand of vodka:woot:

Saturday, I helped a buddy remove a bunch of unused and unneeded emmisions crap from under his hood.

Sunday, My son asked me to help him work on his truck to get it on the road finally. So we did a bunch of little finishing things line hoses and lines. Much closer to running now, Maybe even this week:woot:

went looking for a generator for the camper
built a sub frame for the camper as the new F350 bed is too deep for it.
fixed the tranny in the dually, only a few more odds and ends to replace so I can finally sell it
