ok so i stopped at a place that sells mulch....

asked if i could use their scale and they said yes...
so I weighted in with myself in the truck....

5060lbs

what do you weigh?

this was with truck, me (180lbs0, 15k winch (150lbs with mount), 12 gallons gas

My 85 GMC muscle truck tips the scales at 3755 w/full tank o gas(truck hooks better with more weight in the bed :D )
My 89 Chevy 4x4 is around 4200lbs.

I want to get mine weighed. I don't think we have any mulch or gravel places around. Anywhere else? Will a semi scale do or is it not accurate enough?

My '86 crew cab is 6500lbs last time I came out on the dump scale empty. And I was 10,000lbs last time I came out of the gravel pit with a yard & a half on board.

Haven't weight the '80 yet, but I've cut alot of metal off already

80 as a 2wd 3/4 ton truck with two full saddle tanks of gas, myself, and my brother inside weighed in at 5400 lbs

heavy metal...

My 74 K20 I no longer have used to weigh in at 6,280 lbs with the flatbed and crane setup on it,with not much gas in it,empty!..(including me at the wheel,I weigh 170 lbs.It had a plow frame too--with the 8'plow on it was well over 7000 lbs..I weighed in at 12,570 lbs once when I brought a detroit deisel straight 6 motor from an old bulldozer to the scrap place once.. :eek1: --still cant believe it didn't snap the rotted frame in two!..

My 82 K20 weighed in at 5450 lbs empty,with a nearly empty tank--it has a plow frame,a 6.2 deisel,and an 8' stepside bed!..weighs less than I thought..its about 6000 with the 7.5 ' plow on it..

The "lightweight" of the 3 is my 79 C10,with an 8' fleetside bed --It used to weigh 4800 lbs with the 250 six it had--now with a 305 and a few other things like tools in the cab it weighs 4950...all these readings were on a digital scale used at the scrapyard to weigh big rigs,it might not be 100% accurate, but I bet they are very close..

I weighed a frame I cut up and junked a week ago on an old bathroom scale,it said 500 lbs,and they paid me for 520 lbs,I also had a catalitic converter and some other light stuff,so I think their scales are prettty accurate..

My rig wieghed in at 5,880 with a full tank of gas, D60/14ff and 8" lift with 35's and a warn winch mount bumper with a 9,000lb warn winch.

Take some scrap to them... then you will get weighed for free, and get $$$ for the scrap.

Like the scales at a truck stop? Yes, very accurate. Watch for the different pads as you pull on and put the front on one pad and the rear on the other and you will get your front/rear weight also. You will be up close to the front of the scale where the speaker is.

78 k5 1-tons 37 inch boggers 12000# winch big bumpers front and rear no doors or top with lard ass at wheel 5600#
85 sub extreme body mods and shortend to 100 inch w/b 35 inch swampers same lard ass 3900# :D

My crewcab hits 7K easy. Heavy rear bumper, GN hitch, class V hitch, headache rack, tool box, transfer tank, saddle tanks and a 40 gal suburban tank in the back, plus two spare tires. with all 4 tanks full it is one heavy mother!
