Towed it down to the scales today and had it weighed.

As it sits in this picture-

4900lbs. Subtract about 220lbs for me. So I'm sitting at around 4680lbs. I was a bit surprised. Interesting though.

removing body panels loses some weight, but I get the feeling that adding tons of tube steel prolly pushes it right back up. ;)

I figured it would be closer to 4500. I guessed mine to be around 4800#, but I think I am wrong (time to hit the scales). I don't even want to know how much my rig weighed when it was full bodied.

I weighed my 72 which is tubed back half and skinned in aluminum, 5500. It weighed over 6000 when it was full bodied. It kind of suprised me, I thought it would be less. I guess them 14 bolts, dana 60's, and iron transfercases add up.

no doubt... a D60 and ff14b have got to be half a ton by themselves. Super heavy drive shafts, 205s, big ol tires and a bunch of extra steel really add up. No idea what my rig is at right now... gotta be 6000ish. Hopefully when I get done narrowing/chopping at it it will be closer to 5k. ;)
