weight reduction?

isn't it 100 pounds for evey.01 seconds of a 1/4 mile time?or was it .10 seconds?

I believe its a tenth of a second for every 100 pounds in the 1/4 mile. I know that the local mud racing champs strip down pretty good also.
 
I wish, but once you get so quick, its more like for every 10,000 you get a 1/2 sec quicker /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
 
This is all good and everything, but I guess I should have been more specific.
I'm looking for data that applies to real world wheeling.
I got something off of a mail list one day that said something about gaining 1 HP for every 10 pounds or somethng like that.
Since there is SOOO much gear that gets packed with me, I was wondering how much benifit there would be lightening the load.
Hell, I got probably 10 pounds just in extra nuts and bolts, not to mention having more than one of the same tool like 1/2" wrenches ect...
