Weird balancer on a 6.2

Saw this engine on a military surplus site (starting bid $5 ! ),and I noticed this strange looking harmonic balancer ...anyone seen one like that before ?..
Maybe its some kind of special drive setup for some accessory ?..

So , I’m just spitballing here but I’m guessing it came from a contact truck that had a big belt driven generator.

Or maybe a medium duty C50/60

It's a HMMWV pull out. I've got one just like it (and the air-drop base too). I didn't investigate it a great deal, but I believe that's not a balancer, but rather the fan clutch.

Yup the balancer on the crank is pretty standard. And that is a fan clutch. From what I remember when I was in the Army it had a hose that ran to it as well.
