weird electrical issue

I noticed the other day my dome lamp stays on real dim when the headlights are on and the floor light stays on also . When I open the door the floor lamp goes out and the dome comes on all the way .What is going on ? I have a tach and its lamp is out , I cant remember where I wired it to ,could that be the prob and causing this ? TIA -A

I had the same thing happen to me. It turned out to be a dime that had fallen into my cigarette lighter. Took it out and lights worked fine. It also blew a fuse.

You've got at least one bad ground. Clean ground connections, check continuity to frame ground as well as power. Definitely some voltage leak.

It is in my 81 k10 . Ill check out the ground. I think it might be the door switch .It seems flakey .
