weird grinding noise from drivetrain

Im currently in Afghanistan but i had a question about my truck back at home. When i was driving it, there was somewhat of a grinding sound coming from somewhere around the front driveshaft to tcase area. Almost like the yoke was loose or something. What could that be? The truck was in 2wd but the driveshaft would still spin a little and i would start hearing it. By the way its a np205/th350 combo with 60front/14bltrear. Thanks for your help.

had an 83 k20 that would do something real similar to this at low speeds and coming ot a stop sometimes, wierd noise form front driveshaft/t case area under the floor/firewall/pedals area somewhere,
never did figure it out and it never blew up or anything


hauled alot of weight in that truck pretty much every day and 80 mile trips almost everyday like that

never anything bad

so i dunno

was CH465 and NP208 10bolt and 14SF stock factory original
