weird noise in 4WD

OK, so I put the new u-joint in the front of my dana 44. 76 k-10. This is the first time we locked it in since we bought it since the joint was bad. Well I locked the hubs in and the transfer case, 203 converted to part time, and it makes a weird, kinda of ratcheting noise from underneath, and can be felt through the transfer case shifter. Doesn't seem to be chain slack. Only does it really when you turn the wheels. Driveshaft joints look good and are tight and the slip yoke on the fron driveshaft look good. It sounds like it may be coming from the transfer or front dif. Anyone know if some dana 44's ever made that noise or do you think the transfer might be going out? It only has 125,000 miles on it. Any info would be appreciated

Sounds like your lockouts are slipping.

They are brand new warn premiums, I can't imagine them doin that, maybe i'll pull them and check them out.
