weird noise up front

So i was driving and noticed a weird squeaking noise. It gets louder as i accellerate but stops as soon as i let off the gas. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what it could be. I have a 78 blazer with 6" lift. Thanks

what kind of squeak? like brakes?

No i changed the brakes about two weeks ago cause i thought that But it still does it. But its only when i hit the gas, once i let off it stops. I don't have to hit the brakes or anything to make it quit squeaking

its probably a belt squealing.....check the belt tensions and see if they're worn/glazed.

I checked the belts cause they were squeakin but that was only under hard acceleration. This sounds like a metal kind of squeak if that makes any sense. And its only when i accelerate slow. If I get on it you barely hear it then its gone. But when i start out slow it gets louder and louder.

Anyone else have any kind of suggestions to what could be making the squeaking noise.

sounds like a u-joint

yeah it was a u joint on the front driveshaft right at the t case. How would you go about replacing it? It looks almost impossible to replace. Do i have to take the driveshaft to a shop?
