Dana 60 hubs are like 4" in diameter right??

Well my uncle's front end on a truck he has is HUGE and it has spicer hubs but it doesn't look like a Dana 60 as in the the way the steering bolts up and such.
Is it possible to have Dana 60 knuckles on 44 axles?? :doah:

I truly have no idea. I've never been that far into them before. If i can i'll take some pics tomorrow and show you guys

If anyone has pics of their spicer 60 hubs post them please or a link to the dana 60 bible?

Here is a weird shot of my 60 hubs.
For reference the spacer is 2" thick.

Well see the outside of the hub looks exactly the same to me but where the steering bolts up doesn't. Why i say that is cause it bolts up like my 44 on top of the knuckle with 3 bolts in a half circle shape. Weird


I'm just gonna have to grab pics and see what i can gather or get a better look at it.

It's on an old 77-79 Chevy truck my uncle used to run at the river.

Balljoint ( i think i don't remember) and open. I swear it looks just like a 44 with huge hubs.

Pics will come tomorrow. He only wants $300 is why i ask. I have so many things i can buy and so little money :doah:

i forget what they are called, but there was a 44 with huge hubs.

External hubs or something
 
i bet it's just an older d44 with big ford like hubs. my buddy has a 10 bolt with those on it. they are different then the external hubs also.
 
I agree, external hub d44.

Don't mean to hi-jack, but yzeater, I tried e-mailing you about those axles and never got anything back.
 
ok guys. What exactly is an external hub? Aren't all of Chevy's external?? I guess i just don't get it. Anyways here's pics









MAybe it is the external hubbed 44???? :dunno:

I wasn't sure like i said cause my and any other 44 my uncle has the hubs aren't as big

oh well. I might still buy the set for extra parts :D
