i finished putting in the fifth steering box on my truck crappy remans -_- when you turn the wheels left or right the box will turn all the way to lock by its self and i have to fight to keep it from going all the way. any help? im going to cross over soon i would just like to have the truck drive able till then.:D

That really sounds like a alignment. To much toe in and camber can cause the wheels to fall over.

I really dont have any other sugestions for ya man. Sorry. I would take it back and get a new one. Or insted of spending money on the cross over. You could buy a Hydraulic assist system from Off Road Design. There a little pricey, but well worth it.

Sounds to me like the torque sensing rod inside the center of the input shaft is locked up (maybe welded up) and not able to rotate independantly of the input shaft. This would effectively eliminate any kind of input resistance and allow you to spin the wheel and it would just keep going till full lock.

This is merely an edumacated guess on my part as there are many things inside those boxes that have to work together and be adjusted right for proper operation.

Bad reman, return it.

There's a very small chance you got dirt stuck in the valve due to installation, but chances are it's a valve problem in the box. The rebuilder probably cut a seal or got it on the wrong groove. It can also happen if you mix LHD/RHD parts. Don't bother with it - take it back.

im going to crossover so i took it back and ordered a 2wd psc box hopefully this one will last :D
