anyone know why the 208 in the jimmy would be hard to shift? I am guessing linkage...

when I go to pull it from 4low, to 2wdHI, I can get it to 4wdhi, but then I have to force it to move into 2wd.
anything besides the linkage? bad shifter? hopefully its something in-expensive...

If you are driving on any kind of higher traction surface its most likely binding up.

I was completely stopped when I was trying to shift.
I will crawl underneath when the groundisn't wet and see if I can freely move the linkage...

in N? Try bumping it into gear then back out? I know in my Burb to shift the 241 into LO I have to let the clutch out a little bit.

I usually have it in gear in the tranny when shifting the transfercase...bad idea?
I won't ask anymore questions before I check the linkage, I don't want to prove myself stupid...
