Weld Racing, Weld Wheels filed chapter 11

What if i were to tell you that all this was a VERY CLEVER MARKETING STRATEGY, for many reasons i cant disclose.

Free wheels and $200.00 rebate on their tires, there's your red flag that something is up.

I kid you not, this Story is on about 5 other forums that i just saw, so you can imagine the RUKUS and Broohaha this stirs up.

Its on probably on over 150 boards at 500 hits = 75,000 people.
THere is your mass advertising.

For those who got your wheels, you are happier than pigs in sh%t. Excellent

For those who spent all your time and got nothing, i feel for you.

TO GIVE WHEELS AWAY FOR FREE and just charge for shipping is called

UNFAIR COMPETITION

You can't sell something below your cost as it is UNFAIR COMPETITION to other stores, as they can't compete and are crushed, Violating of Federal and State Laws.

For all the people who got FREE WHEELS and just paid for shipping, you guys unknowingly crushed and/or financially damaged other local stores.

I went on 4wp website a couple of days ago and it said FREE wheels just pay for shipping, now its different...........i wish i would have saved that

I would suggest you to tell us about this "strategy" so no one will get burned next time. Its only fair you can share. Hell, you never know when someone will pull a Columbine on 4WPW. All it takes is that wrong salesperson to push the wrong buttons on one poor unsuspecting soul.

If you still don't want to share the info, then I have nothing to say but suspect that you could be an employee of 4WPW.
 
All I know is every one of C4's posts are odd.
 
i didnt read every page in this thread, but its my understanding that weld wheels was sold off/ aquired to american racing over a year ago.

Could you provide links to these other forums where people are talking about the free wheels?

I am on about 15 different forums and the only thing on any of them is the 75% off sale. This is the only one I have seen where people were trying to get the free wheels.
 
Update...

My order was cancelled as they could only find three of the four wheels that I ordered.
 
Wikedlizard, what wheels did you order? I wanted to get a spare for the Velociti 6 17x10 but they were gone.

I ordered a set of velocity 8's. My local rep however called me today. He is working on a list for me of everything they "actually" have in stock.
 
Congratulations on the guys that got their wheels and I can't believe you did, but to every whining, honestly, what did you expect? It's not like you didn't see this one coming
 
I'm sick and tired of reading about Weld Racing. I wish the threads would die and everyone move on now.

Lets find a different company to bitch about now.
 
Carpoennel, I paid for my wheels at the 75% off, I didn't get them for free. I don't think anybody got them for just the shipping. I also bought some lug nuts from them and when I got home I found them at a lower price and they refunded the $20. difference, no problem.

Well, like I said man. Congratulations. I'm just tired of seeing these bash 4WP thread. Im not trying to stick up for them, I'm just sick of people whining about not getting the uber huge deals that 4WP had mis-printed, and what not, and then saying how 4WP sucks balls. Yeah I think everybody knows they're shady and yeah some people went hook, line and sinker after a deal that sounded too good to be true and now they're b**ching cuz they didn't get the uber huge deal. Think you should have known better? hhhmmm....maybe this time if I slam my hand in the door it won't hurt:doah:. Give it a rest. I agree with K30guy on this and just let it go. It's starting to get old now
 
Sounds like only wickedlizard got his wheels. I want to see pics of the new wheels please.

Those look great! Really dissapointed mine were not in stock and with the Hurricane we just had, its gonna be another week before I hear any news about what IS in stock.

Watching the clock.......
