Haven't done a 14SF, but I have welded a 12bolt... Should be pretty similar.

I did the one under my k5. Ive been beating on it with 37" boggers for 2 years now and no problems. As far as welding goes same as any other diff Ive done.Hard to beat the bang for buck of a welded diff!

I am thinking about welding my 8 lug 14SF because they dont make a spool for it and its never going to be on the street.
