Welded Exhaust Manifold Studs

Just when I thought I had the rustiest plow TEERUK, I bought this POS for $200.

So with the 1st snow storm of the year aproaching, I figured I'd better fix a few things...

Here's how I repaired the right exhaust manifold studs. I tried to heat them up cherry red, and then sprayed water 3 times at them the "shock" them loose. No dice, So I reverted to plan B.

Here's the result. It works OK, but the pipe angle is a little off, but I'm gonna' sell this heap...

Never had vise-grips not work on studs. Heat the manifold cherry red around the stud (not the stud itself) and twist them out. If the studs don't come out, it's not hot enough. :)
