Welder opinions

I'm looking to step up my welding and found what looks like a good deal on a miller 180, but it's a lot cheaper than I'd expect for a working unit. Is this unit repairable easily if it needs it?

Looks like an arc welder and super old. Don't know if its repairable. A new Miller 180 w/ autoset runs about 1,000. fwiw

Hmm, I need a MIG and didn't see the plugs at first. Maybe that's why it's so cheap. I'll have to pass.

I bet you could get him down to a lower price which wouldn't be bad or an ARC welder. I've always wanted to pick one up just for ****s and giggles having learned on a giant antique Lincoln arc welder in H.S.

iirc correctly my MM180 with autoset and a cart was about 850, $900 thru ebay... ebay is nice for welders.. couple of big time suppliers selling thru there with thousands of good feedback.. reputable and quick shipping... got my Miller Elite helmet thru them too...

yeah, you wont find a mig for $175 unless its a complete pos. this welder is a stick welder.
