welding cable and diesel and other fluids

how does the insulation on welding cable hold up to engine compartment fluids? i have ran welding cable to my starter, and it is going to get drenched in diesel when i bleed the system and am hoping my cable holds up to the fuel.

Wash it down when your done and you'll be fine. Most are oil/chemical resistant but at the same time prolonged exposure will eventually brake them down in my experience.
