Welding gov loc

Anyone done it? I know people weld open carriers all the time, how different is it with a gov loc? The carrier is enclosed so I would think it would be alittle difficult. I saw a writeup on it once but cant find the link

get a open carrier and weld that then replace your govloc with that. Or better yet get a mini spool its much stronger than a welded anything. and if you have the money and time get a full spool and save more trouble.

I welded my last gov bomb in my 14 bolt. Kept it till I changed over to 5.13's then used an open carrier , and welded it . Worked fine no compliant's .If you were closer I would say bring it over , and I will do it for ya. But you arn't oh well . It's the thought that count's right ? lol.....
