Welding helmet advice

Well, I have had the same helmet for about 3 years and it finally died on me. It won't charge and it's really about time for a new one anyway given the beat-up face on it.

I need to find a good replacement that has a fast response time as I really prefer auto-darkening helmets for MIG welding.


Do you folks have any suggestions on a good helmet under $80?

Harbor freight and some coupons, I don't weld as much as I'd like, I'm off grid.. my cheapo helmet does ok...

Get good with a fixed lens and never worry about it again.

That’s advice coming from my welding teacher back from college. I agree with him after a couple years of welding lol
