Do you have a harbor frieght near by? They sell a basic welding hood for pretty cheap.

I've got a Jackson helmet that I'm not using any more. It has a shade 10 lens in it, though the polycarbonate clear lens may need to be changed. I bought this one about five years ago. Still in good shape, everything works. It's blue, if that matters.
