Tried one on at the welder supply. Pretty stupid tbh
i bet it would be handy for welding under the truck, there have been a few times where my hood got in the way, keeping me from seeing what i was doing or being able to get comfortable.
Yah would be nice for tight spaces. But why not make the lens go all the way across?
The cool thing is they are just googles which would make it real easy welding under something in something where the full hood gets in the way.

and you can even have lenses made that fit in them, that they come with, into prescription so if you have glasses you don't need them.
I have an old school leather welding helmet that has proven to be invaluable. Just a leather hood with flip down goggles.
Have not meant many welders in my life that aren't flipping their hoods up and down alot. Would be a pain unless your in a production setting where your hood is always down
They are instant on and have a switch and you can use them for grinding and stuff
Yah I know I'm just saying I'm not cutting grinding and welding enough consecutively to justify having prescription lenses made. Cause those aren't gonna be cheap I bet. I haven't seen that thing in person so who knows though. It looks like a specialty product and the perfect thing for some guys
Would think the lenses would be no more expensive then another pair of glasses.

Hmmm ok this is definitely better than the ones I tried on than. The one I tried basically had a hat build into it that kept it on your head.
