How much heat can a 14ff tube take without warping? I have two brackets, (one on each side of the pumpkin) to weld on to the tube. My concern is the heat needed to get good penetration would warp the tube. Any experience out there? The axle is in the truck. The brackets are 1/4'' plate that will be boxed in.

I know there are others who have used track bars like yours on a 14ff, never heard of any issues.

not sure about how much but a buddy of mine welded a truss on top of a d70 and heated it up with a torch and later found it was warped...he made a huge oven and the next axle he had he put in that...

i know it would be a pain but if you pull your 14 bolt and take it apart you can bring it over and take it up to his shop to use his oven...
