I have recently puchased a mig welder and am looking to weld up some parts for my 88 blazer. Does any1 have any plans or past projects they have done to add some parts bumpers, grilles, rollbars etc. Just lookin to save sum money!!! any ideas would be great too!

Yeah, complement the welder with a hand tubing bender (like a JD2, now marketed under a different name I can't remember) and a simple, cheap tubing notcher and use your imagination! Fabbing cool safety accessories and such is really quite easy and in most cases you can have the satisfaction of designing the stuff yourself, just figure out how you want to attach a given part, fab the mounting points, and connect the dots. Just make sure you learn how to make strong, safe welds (you may already be an expert, but I don't know) before betting your melon on a rollcage or winch mount bumper.

what part of NY are you from? and congrats on the welder... a very important tool if your gonna wheel.

if ur gona weld up a cage or a roll bar try keeing ur corners braced or triangled for better strenght
