I went offroading today, and broke my rear axle yoke. Time to upgrade I guess. I was beating on my truck pretty hard throughout the time I was there and It took longer to brake than I thought it would!

Just the breakage

The whole offroading video

I love that ping it sent through your driveshaft!

well get on it...you've got 16hours and you can still make it tomorrow.:doah:

that sucks. did you end up going to that new place?--never mind just watched the video

Funny that it would break- it had never been subjected to any conditions other than grocery getting, right? Never any burnouts or anything like that.

i know! I was about to hit the hill again but someone had to tell me my shaft came off! lol I heard it but didn't care i wanted to hammer it down :)

Looks to me like that one bolt loosened up and was slowly working it self out and that side of the u-joint started coming out and all the throttling while driving was beating that cap against the yoke until it broke.

I thought you were going to work on that today. you knew this morning there was a problem with it. that is pretty funny.

I luckily checked the work on the diffs and drivelines before I tried to drive the truck today or I would be in the same boat. I had to grind the stops in the front Double Cardan for some extra flex and shim the pinions again. I dont think they make ubolts fer 14b yolks.

Jesse at HAD has them, as do several other vendors here. I swapped mine out for the u-bolt style on the 1410 I put in, both front and back.

i have it uploaded to google video but its "verifying" it takes a couple days. you can download it there, but its a special google video version

all the way to canada?!?!?!?!?!:eek1:

yeah front wheel drive. That girl worked there. she was the one at the gate entrance who gave me the paper work to fill out. Sucks to have spent 120 (60 gas 55 entrance 5 food) to go ffroading and brake in under an hour.

$35 for me and truck, $10 each passenger.... they are covering insurance or something like that
