Just filled up with gas, lucky I realized before driving off. I did start it for like 5 seconds just so I could move out of the way. Im going to syfin as much as I can then fill it full with diesel. Should that be enough or do I need to do something else too?? Man thank God for AAA.

ha i swear the gas nozzle was bigger than the diesel nozzle, i swear thats what got me, and i was in a rush

Buy a cheapy electric fuel pump if you don't already own one. Hook it up to the fuel line at the lift pump and drain the tank dry that way. Then add 5 gallons diesel and drain it dry again. Then fill it back up and you will be fine.

That sounds like a $60 mistake is the worst part.

you think i should drain it that much? i got most of it out, i think, i was just planning on making a few trips to the gas station with a can and fill it all the way up

I wouldn't want to risk it... that was the way I purged my gas tanks when I converted from gas to diesel in a '79 K10 and it worked great.

Well last night my father in law calls me to ask if my truck was diesel (he is drivin it now) he was just about to put diesel fuel in it.
That is my gas truck so I screemed noooooooooooooooo...
Saved the day, I didn;t feel like pumping diesel fuel out of that tank at night.
