Went on my trip across the state - on Friday morning, as I was booking along, one of my U-joints decided to let go, and took the slip yoke with it. After standing on the side of the highway for several hours, I finally managed to get a wrecker to haul me to the nearest repair shop - where luckily the owner just happened to be restoring a K20 and sold me his slip-yoke for 75 bucks. On the road again, but now it has a harmonic/vibration that's enough to drive anyone insane - anyone think lowering the transfer case might help? Sorry all - just had to vent

No one stopped to help out? WTF??? On the way way back from the Cinders in Flagstaff, Me and AZBlazer stopped 3 times today to help out Broncos. Go figure.... I would think if you have a 4X dead on the side of the freeway, someone would stop to help you out.

What's your driveline angles look like Pugs? Do you have angle measurements?

No ideas what the angles are - It was dead center between Wikiup and Wickenburg on 93 - I was ignored by who knows how many hundred cars, including 4 DPS and a Yavapai County Deputy - And for everyone's future reference, Phoenix area cell systems do not accept Visa cards for roaming, only AmEx and Mastercard

I would have a local driveshaft shop take a look at the shaft... rebalance it and check for anything bent.

That's what I was afraid of - Lucky me, I've got to do it again this coming weekend. Time to scour for a spare driveshaft.
