Well this looks like fun

looks cool, but why do these cars come and go, seems like a new norm. GTO didn't last long either, that car was BA!

*wondering how long this one will last

The GTO was from the very beginning set to be a 3 year run. Why I have no clue but it was always planned that way. I remember the commercials for it when I was young. The garage with 3 bays and in 2 open bays there was a Gran Prix, Grand Am wide track, and then the third door opened you just saw the front end and the engine came on and the commercial went black.

That car was truly badass, idc if it wasnt retro.

It doesn't matter how much people like a car. It only matters how many people buy it. I hear so many people complain about some great car being dropped. "Did you buy one?" Well there you go. GM is not in the business of building used cars.

17 years only applies because the Holdens were Pontiacs, not Chevies and the Camaro did not debut, just return. I'm not sure why that number is supposed to excite buyers anyway.

As much as I like them, I have to admit that none of the Holden cars were slam dunks in the US market. The GTO had those tiny wheels that made it look like a V8 Cavalier. The G8 left everyone wondering what is was and what all the angles and slots were for. If you just wanted performance, F-body was cheaper.

Now if they would just make this one with a real AWD system (not something like that Versatrak) up to V8 abuse they'd have the perfect DD. They don't list MPG or weight, but I bet it can get upper 20's at least.
