well, went to go strat the engine for the first time!!

but before i did, i saw coolant leaking from on top of the manifold above the #1 cylander. god damnit i say. i am so pissed, but i guess it could be a lot worse.

i guess ill give you another update tomorrow.

Did you try just snugging the bolts up a little more?

Probably won't help anything, then again, simple things sometimes work amazingly well.

What intake manifold do you have installed? Did you dry fit things first to make sure things line up? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If it is an aluminum one; they usually reccomend a different gasket than for a steel one. Also, you need to make sure to put sealant on a few of the bolts that protrude into the waterway.

Place a little extra sealant around water jackets.

I had a simular problem from using the wrong gasket. My leak was into my oil pan. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I had the same thing on mine, replaced gaskets w/ felpro and used the silicone at the four coners of the gaskets and no more hypnotic green for me.

lol. my buddy who is a mechaninc told me to get the felpro. i ordered tham last night, and ill pick them up this afternoon.
